Mfuwe Lodge is situated in South Luangwa National Park in the vicinity of Mfuwe Gate, where Luangwa River forms a beautiful lagoon and rich wildlife. It is open all year round and welcomes all visitors including children of all ages.
18 chalets offered are divided into 2 suites, 3 family rooms, 3 doubles and 10 twin rooms. Each chalet has it's own private deck, overlooking the lagoon where hippos and other animals wonder in or out the water. All chalets are equipped with en-suite showers, mosquito nets. Some of them have bathtubs and some cozy sitting areas.
The lodge offers a luxurious accommodation with spectacular views and game drives. You can find yourself relaxing in the library or swimming pool, take a sundowner on a private deck, look around in the Curio Shop, enjoy spa treatments. The Lodge also offers a possibility to make a visit to local school, village and textile company.
The extraordinary element which adds to your unforgettable stay at Mfuwe Lodge is the regular yearly visit of the elephants. They peacefully walk through the main reception to reach a huge Wild Mango Tree to feast with its fruits. The spectacle takes place from late October to mid-December.
