Big Cave Camp is situated on a 2000-acre private wilderness area that borders Matobo National Park and included in a World Heritage Area. The camp reposes atop a gigantic granite whale-back commanding inspirational views across the famous Matobo National Park.

The seven A-frame thatched cottages each have an en-suite bathroom and private balcony.

The emphasis here is on relaxation and discovering the natural beauty, the ancient and more recent history and the wildlife of the Matobo Hills.

The rhino sanctuary, Cecil John Rhodes’ grave and a multitude of rock art are only one stone throw away.

The lodge normally sells on a fairly comprehensive all inclusive basis - excluding drinks - and is also available on either full board or half board basis for self drive clients.
