Chengeta means “take care of” or “look after” in the Shona language and this name reflects the soul of the lodge.
Situated at the foot of a granite kopje amidst indigenous trees and tropical landscaped garden with wildlife roaming through the gardens, guests can enjoy a memorable and restful stay.
This beautiful well established hideaway is found in the midst of a 7500 acre wildlife paradise with large concentrations of plains game as well as buffalo, lion and domesticated elephant.
Each lodge has its own verandah overlooking the garden.
The lodge has a two-tiered thatched dining room overlooking the gardens and two swimming pools, and a pool bar. There is a lapa or gazebo fire pit area where the guests are sharing their day’s events. The lodge has as well as a separate TV lounge with full DSTV selection.
Chengeta has 16 rooms in total; 7 double-bedded and 9 twin-bedded, all of which are en suite. 3 of the doubles and 4 of the twins have both bath and shower, whilst the rest have showers only. Each room is built of stone under thatch, and each has its’ own verandah overlooking the gardens.
