Who am I?

During my studies at the European School in Brussels I had friends coming from all over the world. From that time on, I have always been ready to pack my bag and discover their home country and culture. It was therefore no surprise to anyone that I studied Tourism Management with a keen interest in the "Incentive Travel" side of things.
Still at University, while doing my internship with a company named Antares in Brussels, I had the opportunity to tour lead a MICE group to South Africa ... never to return to Europe!!!
Willing to travel and with sound language skills at hand, I had the opportunity to work for great DMC's such as 6:30 Gondwana, UTC, Hello Africa, Thebe, 7th Sense, Around Africa, Bushtracks, etc. gaining precious knowledge of both the industry and of Southern Africa as a destination.

Early in 2014, we decided it was time to launch a new venture and we created Inspiration of Zimbabwe ... off to new adventures!!!

Where did I travel to?

Talking Southern Africa ... to the exception of Malawi, I traveled extensively throughout all 6 countries, namely Bostwana, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. And you can add a fair number of trips in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the USA to the list!!!

What I like about Zimbabwe and Botswana

I am blown away by the landscapes of Matopos, the prolific game in Mana Pools, the spiritual heritage of the Great Zimbabwe, the concentration of elephant in Hwange and the majesty of the mighty Zambezi River at Victoria Falls. In close proximity is the beautiful Chobe National Park with rich wildlife then the unique Okavango Delta which is an indescribable beauty.

My favourite moment

More of a permanent moment ... as I am so lucky to live by the Victoria Falls ... to enjoy our superb African sunsets with family and friends over a G&T ... or to organize a picnic in the bush on a Sunday, setting up the hammock for the kids, blankets for the siesta, and spending the entire afternoon by the mighty Zambezi River.

My favourite experience

Having the passion for travel in my blood, so many things come to mind. Visiting Mana Pools was perhaps one of the greatest moments. Staying in a "Hemingway" style tented camp specially setup for us. Looking at the Zambezi river with the elephants coming up close, hyenas raiding the kitchen at night, walking into lions and elephants on safaris ... there is no better and more authentic way to discover the African bush.

Personal tips

Don't forget plenty of sun protection, have some mosquito repellent for the evenings, bring your torch ... have some cash, a credit card and your passport at hand ... leave your worries behind (very important) ... bring your good mood ... and off ... you are ready you go!!!

My next trip

It is time to check out the South Eastern part of Zimbabwe with a focus on Gonarezhou National Park ... and thereafter, off to the Okavango Delta ... so many things to see in order to stay on top of things!!!
